Today we enjoyed being bug explorers and finding out which mini beasts live in different habitats in the grounds of Lytham Hall. We learnt lots of new facts from Julie, the Park Ranger and found a variety of mini beasts. We saw white cabbage butterflies, caterpillars, red tailed bees, ladybirds, a burrowing centipede, wood louse, a red spider and much more!

The children used I pads to take photographs of the different things they saw. Thank you to all our helpers who came with us on the trip.

Year 2 Park can you share with us something you learnt today?

Today we said bon voyage to our butterfly friends, who we have seen grow from tiny baby caterpillars into beautiful butterflies. We loved seeing them stretch their wings and fly off into the wild. Good luck little butterflies!
